The Geelong Arts Centre on Ryrie Street launched its winter program last week that features a new dance piece by local company Chunky Move. Just two blocks away on Little Malop Street the National Wool Museum opened an exhibition of contemporary textiles drawn from regional artists on 8 July.
Both sites sit within easy walking distance of the Barwon River trail so visitors can combine an hour-long indoor session with a short outdoor loop past the historic wool stores.
Practical details and costs
Entry to the Wool Museum exhibition costs $18 for adults and runs through 31 August with daily sessions at 10am and 2pm. The Arts Centre dance performances sell tickets from $32 with three shows scheduled for the coming fortnight on 18, 20 and 25 July.
City of Greater Geelong data released in June showed a 14 percent rise in cultural venue attendance compared with the same month in 2025.
