Training sessions have shifted to the indoor facilities at the Geelong Sports and Events Centre on Ryrie Street, where North Geelong players ran set-piece drills on Tuesday evening. East Geelong has used the synthetic pitches at the Corio Leisuretime Centre for recovery work after a wet July schedule.
Both grounds sit within five kilometres of the city centre, allowing supporters easy access via the number 55 bus route that stops directly outside Kardinia Park.
Attendance figures and ticket details
Last season the league recorded an average crowd of 4,200 across its three finals venues, with the grand final at Kardinia Park drawing 9,850 spectators on August 2. Adult tickets for this year’s opening finals are priced at $18, with juniors admitted for $8 and family passes available for $45.
Online sales through the league website open at 9am on July 13, and gates will open 90 minutes before each bounce-down.
